Kia ora. Ko Lindsey Mackrill tōku ingoa. I currently teach Year 0/1 here at Stanley Bay School and I am an Across School Leader for our Kāhui Ako (Community of Learning). I live just a short walk from the beach in beautiful Narrow Neck with my husband Alex, our 3 children and our dog, Colin, who is a very playful miniature schnauzer. I was born in Blackpool, Lancashire in the North West of England. I went to University in Manchester to study Biomedical Science and then I gained my Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching and began my teaching career at a lovely school in Bolton before working in Children’s Centres in Rochdale and Birmingham. Having travelled and worked in New Zealand before we decided that it was where we wanted to live and made plans to return. We arrived in Aotearoa New Zealand in 2011 and after working in Mangere I came to Stanley Bay in 2012 to teach year 3/4 , and I have been here ever since!
