The Friends of Stanley Bay are a group of parent volunteers with a ‘can do’ attitude who plan events and  raise money for our school community.....and have some fun on the journey!

Our Objectives
To enhance the education and wellbeing of our students by supporting the provision of educational and sports resources / facilities through fundraising.

To identify and organise social activities and events for the purpose of:

  • fundraising
  • fostering strong relationships and a positive sense of belonging among our school community
  • promoting and increasing our school’s profile in the wider community.

Upcoming 2018 Events 

Sunday 26th August, 3pm  - Family Movie Madness at The Vic
A double feature movie for children and one for the parents at The Vic! Whilst the adults relax in the Albert auditorium and watch a movie for Big People, the Little Ones are safely ensconced in The Victoria watching their own family-friendly Disney double feature!

Need a further enticing Cherry on the Cake? Cheese Platters for the adults will be available pre- and post-movie and we're working on early evening family meals available at Corelli's after the movies finish to ensure a truly relaxing Sunday with all the family entertained and fed!

Bookings essential as seating will be limited -  full details TBC and costs to follow... Watch this space!!

Saturday 22nd September, 7pm - Quiz & Auction Night
Lights Camera Action! Jeremy Elwood, one of NZ’s finest stand-up comics, will be hosting our sparkling night.
The theme is ‘TV and the Movies’ so come as your favourite movie stars or super heroes (although of course dressing up is optional). After the quiz we have a great list of auction items including artworks, flights, classes, restaurant vouchers and family experiences. Don’t miss this great night out and THE key school fundraising event of 2018.  Tickets will go on sale on Kindo and we’re posting updates and donations as we receive them on our FOSB Facebook page.

Devonport Village Cookbook
The 2017 team designed, created, published and marketed the Devonport Village Cookbook.1,350 cookbooks have been sold and we have 150 to go (now available for purchase on kindo, our school online shop) ! 2018 Fundraising Team Meetings

We welcome all parents/carers/family, teachers and staff to our team meetings, which are held on Wednesdays from 7pm in the staff room. The next meeting dates are: 4 July, 8 August, 5 September, 26 September , 31 October, 28 November 2018

 2018 Fundraising Team Survey
Thank you everyone for your hard work in supporting Stanley Bay School to achieve the fundraising target for 2017. We had a fantastic year where we raised $88,344 well exceeding our $40,000 target and achieving the second target of funds for the school playground upgrade!  This year our target is $50,000 and we appreciate your advice / input into how we go about raising this money and building a strong school community as part of the journey.
