I was born and went to school
in Liverpool during the "Beatles" era. After
training to be a teacher in Leeds and teaching in London
I came to New Zealand as a "Ten Pound Pom",
teaching in the Wellington area.
When I married I spent some time away at sea with Bob, and a further 3 years
in UK. After our older son, James was born we returned to New Zealand, back to
Wellington where Tom was born.
I continued to teach in a variety of situations in Wellington and Dunedin. While
in Dunedin I studied for my B.Ed. degree which I achieved just before
coming to Auckland and Stanley Bay School.
I love teaching here. We are so lucky to have such a wonderful environment and
children so eager to learn. I enjoy helping people become life-long learners!
Other pastimes are walking, gardening, keeping in touch with friends around the
world and reading. I think there is a book waiting to be written, too!
