Mrs Pam Warner
Year 1, Room
3
Hi,
My name is Pam Warner and I think I have the best job at Stanley Bay School. I teach the new entrants in room 3. This is a really exciting age to teach. They see life in black and white, really tell it how it is and still take part in make believe. The children at this level make a huge development over a year emotionally, socially and academically and this is so wonderful to be a part of.
My background is in both primary teaching and early childhood and I am able to bring these experiences to my teaching. I enjoy chatting with parents to share the wonderment of their children as they come in each day. I enjoy working with parents to help their children become more independent as they settle into school.
I believe that the transition to school is of vital importance and have been part of this from both sides having been a kindergarten teacher.
For children to learn they must take risks and to be able to take risks they must first feel comfortable in their environment. This gives a big responsibility to school and to families to ensure that children are able to follow the routines at home and at school that help them to settle easily.
Parent helpers are welcome in my room and are of great benefit to the learning needs of all children.
I look forward to meeting new families as well as old friends as your children start their schooling at Stanley Bay School.
