Raised in the deep south of New Zealand, I consider myself a fun-loving Southern girl at heart.

After several years of teaching, I ventured abroad and enjoyed the traditional 'right of passage OE' - juggling teaching in London and travelling Europe extensively in combi-vans!

I was charmed by both the allure of the Swiss Alps and my soon to be Dutch husband.  We both ski instructed for International Schools and returned to NZ to settle in Devonport in 1996. 

By 2005, we realised our own personal dream .... "to be closer to the mountains" and opened Snowplanet.

We are fortunate enough to be raising our two sons in such a wonderful community.  I have been associated with Stanley Bay School in various roles and particularly love working with new entrants.
