Year 1 class, Room 13

I come from Leicester, England and have lived in New Zealand since August 2005. I discovered it whilst traveling the world in 2001. I loved it so much, I returned with my husband, Nick. We live in Torbay with our son, Ollie who was born here in 2006. Ollie has joined us in class and likes to take on the role of the teacher. I wonder where he gets that from?

I love being close to the beaches, so lots of time is spent enjoying the great outdoor life New Zealand has to offer. I like to go to the gym,
enjoying running and have now completed 3 Auckland half marathons.

My teaching career began in Ilford, Essex where I was for 3 years and had a further 3 years in Blunham, Bedfordshire where I taught at John Donne Primary School. It was then we packed our bags and headed for New Zealand.

Since arriving in New Zealand I have taught at Campbells Bay School, St Joseph's School in Takapuna and Waitakere School in Henderson.

This is my third year at Stanley Bay and I have taught year 2, year 1 and now I am teaching in the lovely brand new Room 13 teaching a New
Entrant/year 1 class. I am enjoying getting to know all of the juniors in my role of Syndicate Leader.
