I was born in Leicester, England but also lived in Somerset and most recently London. It was in London that I began my teaching career working in a small school similar to Stanley Bay.
I enjoy traveling and after university completed a round the world trip. It was during this time that I first visited New Zealand. I married Guy, who is also a teacher, in Las Vegas and we have been lucky enough to visit many other countries including Peru, Botswana, Iceland, India and have traveled on the Trans Siberian railway. We made the move to New Zealand in 2008 looking for somewhere with an outdoors lifestyle to bring up a family and have since had our daughter, Elizabeth.
My life is now incredibly busy combining motherhood and teaching but I am enjoying being back in the Senior syndicate working with the enthusiastic and hardworking children of Stanley Bay.
