"Welcome to 1909, the year that Stanley Bay School was built at a cost of £754.
A team of builders erected 2 classrooms and a porch. When the school first began,
in February 1909, it was just an extension of Devonport School. Miss M. Barr,
a teacher from Devonport School, was appointed Head Teacher." from "The
History of Stanley Bay School", by Jordan Griffiths, Year 5, 2005
