It has been fantastic to see all the children out in the sun, it makes for a positive day at school when you can have a run on the field, climb the tree and roll down the hill before lessons begin!

The disco was an exciting way to end last week. The anticipation built in the proceeding days resulting in a fantastic night out for the children; light up toys, chips and music, what a combination!

Welcome to week 4, with so much going on the term is flying by. This weekend certainly felt like summer is just around the corner and a timely reminder to make sure that our children are safe in the sun with hats and sunblock.

As you will know from previous newsletters the Devonport Village Cookbook is a Stanley Bay School fundraising initiative. The book is the result of a diligent, energetic, can-do team of parents who have tirelessly given their time and skills to create a high quality product that we are extremely proud of. Watching the book unfold, it has been inspiring to see that food can bring a school and community together.

I hope you enjoyed the break spending time with your family; it is such an important time to reconnect with your children and take a breath.
