Playball Kidz – Sport Development programme – Tuesdays (Year 1-4 only). We teach the fundamental skills of 7 different types of Sport (Tennis, Hockey, Baseball, Volleyball, Soccer, Basketball and Netball). Let your child learn the skills needed to try out for a team sport. We will teach your child the correct, hand, eye, body positioning, as well as building their social skills, team work, balance, co-ordination, mid-line crossing, rhythm and timing to succeed and carry on with Sport at a team level. Creative Matters Art Workshops after school – Are you looking for a creative outlet for your child and a worthwhile activity after school? Creative Matters will be running our popular, well respected after school art workshops for children aged 6-11 years on Wednesday’s 3-5pm, right here at Stanley Bay school (starting week 1). All of our tutors are practising artists or designers who are involved in the arts community in different ways, and they all share a passion for encouraging creativity in children. Our classes fully develop the creative process, from exploring and experimenting through to creating and reflecting. We provide opportunities and experiences to help children get excited about the visual arts, encourage creative and critical thinking and develop skills and techniques in a wide range of areas – all in a calm, positive, happy, nurturing environment. Water Polo at Belmont Intermediate School in 2019 – Is your child coming to Belmont Intermediate School in 2019 and interested in playing water polo? The season starts at the very beginning of term one and it would be great to ascertain how much interest we will have from new year 7 students.
