My name is Steve Slater-Brown, and I teach a lively class of 29 year fives in room seven.
I was born in the UK (Yorkshire specifically), and have lived in the Home Counties, Scotland, the South Coast of England and finally London for 14 years before emigrating to New Zealand with my wife, her cat and our two boys three and a half years ago. Since arriving in New Zealand my wife and I have added a daughter to our family, as well as a dog.
I studied psychology at university in London, earning an honours degree, which I then put to excellent use working in the investment services and personal wealth management sectors for twelve years.
On arriving in New Zealand I re-trained as a teacher. Working as a teacher is providing me with ample opportunities to study human behaviour outside of the office environment.
