I was born in Birkenhead, on Merseyside in the UK, but spent most of my childhood in Braintree, Essex. I have taught in Hertfordshire and Surrey in the UK and had a 2-year spell teaching in North Carolina in the USA, where I won the Cultural Educator of The Year for Western North Carolina. I have thoroughly enjoyed teaching in different education systems, but am happy to have now settled in New Zealand at Stanley Bay, where I have been for 6 years.

I love teaching at Stanley Bay School working alongside such dedicated teachers and enthusiastic children.

I am married to Tina, and we have two amazing children Matthew and Abby. I am football mad and a passionate Evertonian. I enjoy playing social football for North Shore United.
