As our focus in Topic this term is science based, we will be examining information reports, explanations and procedure texts.

As we investigate different aspects of the forces and phenomena which surround us (such as light, sound, magnetism, gravity etc), we will be writing explanations to communicate our understanding of these phenomena.

The comprehension and creation of procedure texts is of critical importance for successful learning in all curriculum areas. As experiments are investigated in class, reflected upon and hopefully improved; we will be publishing instructions for our modified experiments.

As part of our poetry writing, we will be focussing on various structures of poems, including shape poems and iambic pentameter.
