Catherine Kelsey I am both a parent and a teacher at Stanley Bay. I have been teaching for 18 years now. Having trained for a year as a primary school
teacher I then went into High School teaching in the UK and Overseas(International Schools) covering both the UK curriculum and IB. Whilst at the International School of Tanganyika I taught year 6. Camp then was up in
the Tea estates of Tanzania. I came to NZ in 2003 - to teach at Westlake Boys High School and became teacher in charge of Yr 9 & 10. I then went to
Long Bay College as deputy head of English. My passion for teaching writing and poetry, plus a need to be closer to home and children, led me back to
the peninsula, teaching extension writing classes at Stanley Bay in 2007. I am really excited to be teaching at Stanley Bay School
